Reconciliation Bootcamp

Sk'elep Reconciliation & Indigenize It presented a Reconciliation Bootcamp on Saturday, 22 April 2017 at the Kwantlen Nation Cultural Center Longhouse. It was a great day that featured some excellent narrative from all the participants. The highlight was a long dissertation from Brandon Gabriel. Just the opportunity to sit and listen to Brandon's viewpoint was worthwhile. We all have a tendency to focus world events from our own experiences and upbringing. If we can put aside that past and listen to the stories of others we will have been successful in expanding our own understanding. It's not a case of having to agree 100% with their viewpoint, it's a case of listening and trying to understand why that viewpoint has come to be. Thank you to Brandon for sharing.
