Day of Action - 25 February 2018

Had a great day talking on the phone with a bunch of great people in the Langley-Aldergrove EDA. For those that I haven't contacted yet, we're looking for your opinion on some great pieces of policy that will be debated at the 2018 Liberal Party of Canada Convention in Halifax in April. Check out the policies here and then put your votes in when the prioritization vote starts on 4 March. Let us know what's important to you! Talk about it with your friends. YOU can make a difference. Need some help in understanding the context behind each of the policies? Drop me an email at Leon@leonjensen.ca and we can work out a coffee meeting with you and your friends.
Can't make it to the convention? Make sure your Liberal membership is up to date and then help us prioritize the policies. Would you like to donate to the Langley-Aldergrove Electoral District? Check out the Victory Fund and make your donation out either the national fundraising campaign or your local riding, the choice is yours.

Conference on Defence and Security

Currently returning from the Conference on Defence and Security hosted by the Canadian Defence Association as well as their Annual General Meeting. It was an excellent event and I would encourage all Canadians to search the CDAI website for information about security issues that affect all Canadians. The topics covered over the two day event included: Security and Defence Challenges of the Future, Taking Advantage of Disorder, Harnessing National Capacity for Security and Defence and Implications for Building Military Forces in the future.

Exchange Teachers - Curling

The BC Exchange Teachers Association attempts to provide a glimpse into some of our iconic Canadian cultural events for our exchange teachers. Today was a chance for some of the Aussies and our Brit teachers to try their hand at curling! No foreign teachers were damaged in the filming of this event!
