Defence Policy Review

A huge THANK YOU to those that came out to our event at the Langley Events Centre. The Royal United Services Institute - Vancouver saw that the intent of the Department Of National Defence to gather input from Canadians interested in the future policy required to guide the Canadian Armed Forces closely matched the Aim of the Society:

• Supporting the development and maintenance of effective national security and defence policies;
• Reviewing and researching security and defence matters; preparing and presenting briefs, position papers and policy proposals to government and other organizations;
• Working to help to ensure that the public is correctly informed on matters relating to national security and defence;
• Promoting a collegial spirit and comradeship among our members, and providing a forum for discussion and exchange of views on matters of interest.

The venue at the Langley Events Centre was terrific, the support of a large group of military vehicle rebuilders was super and the effort of the great volunteer presenters and facilitators brought out some great insight into the wishes of Canadian citizens.
It's still not too late to get your input into the Department of National Defence. Simply go to their website and join in their forum discussion before the end of July.
